Hi all!

Hi everyone! My name is Incia Haider and I will be serving as one of the vice-chairs in the Arab League committee for BMUN's 70th conference! I am currently a fourth year undergraduate student at Berkeley majoring in both Global Studies and Political Economy. Within the Global Studies major, my focus is on peace and conflict in the Middle East/North Africa region, and my Political Economy concentration is on global development and inequality. Aside from participating in BMUN, I am a Peer Advisor for the Political Economy major and am also writing my senior thesis this year on sectarianism in Pakistan.  In my free time, I love reading, exercising, and watching a good Pakistani drama. Hi all, I'm Lauren, and I'm beyond excited to be your head chair for the Arab League Committee at BMUN 70!! A little bit about me: I'm a second year student at UC Berkeley studying English, Journalism, and Public Health. Besides Berkeley Model United Nations, I write for The Daily Californian and run marketing for the Steminism Club. I'm a big fan of all things arts in the Bay Area (The Grateful Dead, the Beat Generation, etc.), and I love to talk about my favorite movies and TV shows! Keep checking back on this blog for more updates regarding the Gaza Strip and Economic Diversification. I hope to make this site a resource for you as you begin to think seriously about the upcoming conference! As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions, comments, or concerns!

Hi everyone! Welcome to Arab League 70! My name is Darren Lee, and I'm excited to be your vice-chair for this upcoming conference this March. As of right now, I am a freshman at Berkeley studying Political Economy. I was born in Sydney, Australia, and grew up there for eight years before immigrating to Jakarta, Indonesia, which I now call home. I'm a big fan of Formula 1, a competitive swimmer, a major advocate of good Phở and an avid traveler of going to San Francisco at unnatural AM hours.  Joining MUN in high school was one of the best decisions of my life, I got the chance to not only travel Indonesia but also travel across Asia too. Besides getting to travel, it gave me a place to meet new friends and most importantly develop new, valuable academic skills. Skills like being able to speak in front of hundreds of people, write up speeches in seconds, and research policies up to a big, thick binder level. All skills that I am confident all of you will develop during ou...
